Marshalltown Community College alumni Mike and Jane Ross Neff established this scholarship to provide opportunities for local students to further their education. They believe that financial challenges should not stand in the way of motivated and deserving students as they pursue their academic and career aspirations—whether through liberal arts studies or vocational training aligned with their professional goals.
Scholarship amounts will vary for 2025-26.
There will be Five $4,000 scholarships given.
Application Criteria:
- Marshall or Story County graduate or resident
- Full-time student (12 hours)
- Financial need as indicated by the Federal Application for Financial Assistance (FAFSA) required
- Extra-curricular high school activities and/or community activities and/or work experience required
- Major in one of the following programs: Accounting, Business Administration, Early Childhood Education, Dental Assisting, History, Mass Media/Broadcast Technology, Medical Assistant, Mortuary Science, Nursing, Science, Teacher Education • Grade point average of 2.5 or above
- Written description of student’s long-term occupational goals and efforts to accomplish required
- Can be renewed up to completion of AA degree providing continues to meet 2.5 GPA, financial need, and work ethic standard
